Envalior at the Polymer Forum 2026: driving innovations and sustainable solutions in a VUCA World
Press release - 16 June 2026
- In two presentations, Envalior experts will demonstrate how innovation can empower to take the reins in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world and how sustainable materials are paving the way for the circular economy.
- Envalior enters into dialogue with leading OEMs regarding the latest development trends in order to initiate appropriate sustainability innovations at an early stage.
Düsseldorf, June 16, 2026 – At the 12th Polymer Forum, taking place June 17, at the Stadthalle, Aschaffenburg, Germany, Envalior will present two talks on material solutions that enable the development of sustainable, high-performance, and circular component innovations in line with the latest trends. This year’s conference theme, "Resources in Circulation," underscores the focus on circularity. The event is organized by TER Plastics POLYMER GROUP, a distributor, compounder, and manufacturer of engineering plastics and high-performance polymers based in Bochum, Germany.
Succeeding in a VUCA World
In her presentation, "Innovation in a VUCA World: Helping Customers Reduce Time, Costs, Risks, and CO₂", Caroline Mitterlehner, Executive Vice President of Specialty Materials at Envalior, describes how innovation can empower companies to take control of their own futures in an increasingly volatile world. The acronym VUCA stands for the dynamic factors of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, which are increasingly shaping the business world and its strategies. Using innovations in automotive engineering, robotics, and artificial intelligence as examples, the presentation illustrates how Envalior’s materials and engineering services help achieve cost-efficient, highly durable, and yet sustainable and recycling-friendly component solutions within short development cycles. The presentation is scheduled for 10:05 a.m, CEST.
Designing components that are both circular and high-performance
During the presentation “In the Loop – Envaliors' Sustainable High-Performance Engineering Materials” by Dr. Christa Weber, an expert in circular and low-carbon solutions, illustrates how Envaliors' sustainable high-performance polymers enable longer-lasting applications. At the same time, these recycled and/or bio-based materials help conserve resources and support efficient circular economy concepts. The presentation will showcase practical approaches that reduce the use of fossil resources while ensuring high material performance in components. The focus is on tailored solutions for evolving customer requirements and regulatory standards. The presentation will take place at 11:30 a.m, CEST.
Innovation through proactive dialogue
"At the forum, the who's who of the European plastics industry will engage in an in-depth dialogue on current trends with renowned international OEMs from the automotive, home appliance, and plastics machinery industries, among others. We want to demonstrate how our customers and their customers can achieve ambitious sustainability goals and make essential contributions to the circular economy, resource preservation, and climate protection with our latest developments in bio-based and recycled-content compounds as well as materials with a low carbon footprint," explains Philipp Rhein, Application Development Manager at Envalior.
