EcoPaXX combines excellent thermal and mechanical properties with low moisture uptake and high chemical resistance. This makes it especially suitable for automotive applications that require good mechanial performance after conditioning, water/glycol ageing and road salt exposure. Additionally, EcoPaXX has excellent surface aesthetics, which is ideal for decorative components that require thermal and mechanical stability, such as engine covers.
Een natuurlijke performer
EcoPaXX is Envalior’s meest gevestigde biogebaseerde technische kunststof. Het combineert Envalior’s eigen C4-technologie met het potentieel van de natuurlijke C10-bouwsteen afkomstig uit castorplanten, die niet concurreren met de voedselketen. De combinatie van het korte C4-blok en het lange C10-blok verleent EcoPaXX de hoge mechanische eigenschappen van typische korteketenvormige polyamiden, maar combineert deze met een lagere vochtopname en een hogere chemische resistentie die kenmerkend zijn voor langeketenvormige polyamiden. EcoPaXX kan eenvoudig worden verwerkt in PA66-mallen en resulteert tegelijkertijd in een betere oppervlaktekwaliteit. Dit maakt het tot een ideale keuze wanneer prestaties, esthetiek en duurzaamheid samenkomen.
