Evansville, IN, USA, May 2, 2024 – Envalior is excited to announce the opening of a new third-party operated 225,000-sq.ft. distribution center in Evansville, Indiana, USA. Located next to Envalior’s Evansville production facility via a bridge, the new distribution center will provide Envalior with increased capacity and flexibility for its Evansville operations. It will support the growing demand for Envalior high-performance and sustainable engineering materials across various industries, including automotive, medical and consumer goods.

“The opening of our new distribution center in Evansville, Indiana, targets to enhance Envalior’s  commitment towards our customers,” said Maggie Cai, Vice President, Supply Chain Management Performance Materials & Specialty Materials, Envalior. “We very much look forward to the collaboration with our third party warehouse provider to provide efficient and effective logistics solutions to customers while internally elevating inventory management capability.”

The distribution center features state-of-the-art technology, including automated material handling systems and advanced inventory management software, to ensure efficient and accurate order processing. The collaboration between an onsite presence of Envalior supply chain and quality team members will reduce supply chain risks by promoting and increasing the transparency of operations, inventory, and delivery requests. This team integration plays a crucial role in increasing customer service by ensuring high visibility of end-to-end support.

“We're excited for the new state-of-the-art distribution center in Evansville,” said Grace Showalter, Envalior Regional Commercial Director, Americas. “We are dedicated to working closely with our customers, and this center will help us reach optimal standards for delivery.”

Project discussions for the new onsite distribution center began in late 2019 and continued through the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Due to the rising inflation and supply chain issues that were present throughout this difficult time, the project was delayed until discussions resumed in 2022. Executive committee oversight and financial approval was completed in December 2022, and the new warehouse contract was signed with a third-party warehouse provider February 2023.

“This project is the culmination of years of diligent planning and hard work by several talented colleagues within Envalior,” said Rick Messinger, Envalior Head of Supply Chain Management for the Americas. “I could not be more excited to see how the Evansville distribution center will better serve our valued customers for many years to come.”
