Stanyl® B-MB

Envalior's Stanyl® B-MB (Bio-based Mass Balanced) is a 100% bio-based high-temperature polyamide with halved carbon footprint and same high performance to empower customer sustainability.

Explore Stanyl® B-MB, a bio-based mass balancing solution

Stanyl® B-MB – now available with up to 100% bio-based content – is a fully ISCC+-certified mass-balancing solution, and delivers exactly the same characteristics, performance, and quality as conventional Stanyl®. In addition, production of Stanyl® B-MB now generates a carbon footprint up to 50% lower than the fossil-based original.

In practice, this means a 3.3-ton CO2 reduction per ton produced – equivalent to charging 420,000 smartphones. Not only does this industry first further support the ‘Sustainable sourcing’ pillar of Envalior’ SimplyCircular™ initiative, but it also raises the bar for biomass-balanced solutions in the industry. Envalior therefore continues to lead the way on driving carbon-footprint reductions and boosting customers’ environmental success.

Lower your carbon footprint through mass-balanced material solutions

In this 2-minute video, learn about the options you have to lower your carbon foorprint and to meet circular economy targets. At Envalior, we offer both drop-in material solutions and sustainable material alternatives to bridge the way towards a future proof business.

Stanyl: Sustaining high performance

Stanyl is the first high-temperature polyamide and the only aliphatic polyamide in its class. Thirty years ago it defined this class of materials and today it is still the most widely used polymer basis. The symmetry of the 46 structure ensures that the polymers fit in the crystal in multiple ways, thereby giving rise to high crystallization speeds and high crystallinity. This combination makes the material ideal for high-temperature applications due to excellent mechanics as well as wear and friction behavior, where the flow and the flow-mechanics balance are one of a kind.
