Envalior Earns General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award

General Motors has recognized Envalior with a Supplier Quality Excellence Award for the 2019 calendar year. This is the fifth time in the last six years GM has recognized Envalior for consistent quality performance throughout the year.

“We strive to be customer-centric in everything we do, which is why this recognition is so important to us,” said Jud Gibson, vice president, Commercial Americas, Envalior. “Earning this was not easy, which is why I’d like to extend my gratitude to our Evansville plant, commercial team, and the broader global team for their efforts to deliver world-class service to our customers at GM.”

“We know that maintaining a focus on the details to deliver defect-free product to our assembly plants consistently is not an easy task, so much that only a fraction of our suppliers has earned this prestigious recognition,” said Richard Demuynck, executive director for global supplier quality & development, GM. “You are a critical part of the team who helps ensure the customer is delighted with their product purchase and we want to recognize and thank you for that.”

This award specifically recognizes supplier production sites that meet and exceed the automaker’s stringent set of quality performance criteria, including product quality and certification of GM’s required quality management system.

Recognized suppliers must pass a rigorous quality audit that covers every aspect of production, from design to delivery. Criteria include producing materials without defects, delivering products in a timely manner, and performing above GM’s standard requirements.
